Day 4 : Excursion to Gurudongmar Lake and Transfer to Lachung

Early morning breakfast – Visit to Gurudongmar Lake 55 kilometers, 3 hours drive – Gurudongmar Lake is one of the highest lakes in the world, located at an altitude of 17,100 ft (5,210 m). It lies in the district of North Sikkim in the state of Sikkim in India, only some 5 kilometers (3.1 mi) south of Chinese border. Generally covered with snow from December to April or even more is known as the Holy / Sacred Lake – Next drive through the cold desert till Tibet / China back to Resort for Lunch – After lunch drive to Lachung – The region is fully covered with Rhododendron forest with Chopta Valley and Thangu are the other places of interest – Back to hotel for lunch – After lunch proceed to Lachung – Nearly 50 kilometers and 2.5 hours drive – Check into hotel at Lachung – Evening free to visit Lachung Monastery – Overnight stay at Hotel at Lachung./4

Day 5 : Sight Seeing at Yumthang & Transfer to Gangtok 

After breakfast drive towards Yumthang situated at an elevation of nearly 11800 feet – On the way you may visit the famous hot spring which is known for its curative properties of skin diseases – Yumthang is a valley near the river Lachung Chu surrounded by mountains where the tree line ends – In spring the valley erupts in riots of colors as Primulae, Rhododendrons and many other Alpine flowers in full bloom along with snow covered valley except in autumn – During winter Yumthang is somber with snow all around and the snow clad mountains adding to the ethereal beauty.  (Optional visit to Zero Point at extra charge) Return to Hotel at Lachung for Lunch – Reach Gangtok in the evening –Night stay at Gangtok.

Day 01: NJP/BAGDOGRA TO GANGTOK (5500 FTS/120 KMS/4-5 HRS)

Upon arrival, meet our representative and drive to Gangtok. Arrival at Gangtok, check into the Hotel. Evening free to walk around the town. Overnight stay at Hotel/ Homestay.

Day 02: GTK-TSHANGU LAKE (12500 FTS) BABA HARBHAJAN SINGH MANDIR (13150 FTS)

Breakfast at Hotel. After Breakfast drive to Tshangu Lake (40 kms)- Oval shaped Sacred Lake enrouteNathula Pass. Drive to Nathula Pass (15 kms further) enroute visit Baba Harbhajan Singh Mandir.  Drive back to Gangtok via same route(55 kms). Vehicle will drop you at the Market / Hotel. Free & Leisure time to stroll in the market area. Overnight stay at the Hotel/ Homestay.

Day 03: GANGTOK LOCAL SIGHTSEEING

Breakfast at Hotel. Drive to Banjhakri  eco-park (30 minutes from town) Visit Namgyal Institute of Tibetology (museum with collections or antique and rare Buddhism related items) Back to Hotel for Lunch. After Lunch, visit Flower Show / Enchey Monastery / Hanuman Tok / Tashi View Point (to see Mt.Khangchendzonga and other peaks)/Bakthang water falls. Vehicle will drop you at the Market / Hotel. Free & Leisure time to stroll in the market.

DAY 04: GANGTOK TO DARJEELING  (6700 FTS/90 KMS/3-4 HRS)

Breakfast at the Hotel. Drive to Darjeeling via Rangpo , Teesta. Lunch at Lopchu. Reach Darjelling (1 ½ hrs from Lopchu), upon arrival check into the Hotel. Free & Leisure time to stroll around to the Mall (Chowrasta) Overnight stay at the Hotel. River Rafting could be done enroute. (2 hrs) on extra costing.

DAY 05: DARJEELING SIGHTSEEING

Early morning (6 am) drive to Tiger Hill (8500 fts) for sunrise view over the mountains. View 4 Giants of Himalaya i.e. Mt.Everest,Mt.Makalu,Mt.Lhotse and Mt.Khangchendzonga (all above 8000 mtrs) from Tiger Hill. Drive back to Town.

Visit Ghoom Monastery (Gelug order of Tibetan Buddhism) and Batasia Loop(Gorkha war memorial) Back to Hotel for Breakfast and recess (1 hr) After breakfast go for a mixed point sightseeing of Japanese Temple, Peace pagoda, Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park & Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (Closed on Thursday), Tenzing&Gombu Rock, Tibetan Refugee Self-Help Center (Closed on Sunday) & Happy Valley Tea Estate and Factory.  Free & Leisure time or walk around the Mall (Chowrasta) Overnight at Hotel.

Day 06: DEPARTURE TO NJP / BAGDOGRA (90 KM/ 3-4 HRS)

Breakfast at Hotel and Checkout. Drive to NJP/ Bagdogra airport.

Day 01: NJP/BAGDOGRA TO DARJEELING (6700 FTS/ 90KMS/ 3-4 HRS)
Upon arrival, meet our representative and drive to Darjeeling via Kurseong. Arrival  at Darjeeling, check into the Hotel. Evening free to walk around the town i.e. Chowrasta (The Mall) Overnight stay at Hotel / Homestay.

Day 02: DARJEELING SIGHTSEEING

Day 04: KALIMPONG TO PELLING (6250 FTS/ 105 KMS/ 4-5 HRS)
Breakfast at Hotel & check out. Drive to Pelling via Jorethang (Lunch place) Upon arrival, check into the hotel. Free & Leisure time or walk to the surroundings. Overnight stay at Hotel/Homestay.

Day 05: PELLING SIGHTSEEING
Breakfast at Hotel. Drive to Khangchendzonga waterfalls (23 kms/1 ½ hrs) Enroute see Rimbi waterfalls. Drive to Khechupalri Lake (16 kms/40 minutes from KWF)- Sacred and wishful filling lake amidst a deep and rich forest. Drive back to Pelling (28 kms/1 ½ hrs).  Lunch at Hotel in Pelling. After Lunch, visit Pemayangtse monastery (Nyingma order of Tibetan Buddhism/310 yrs old) Visit Rabdentse palace ruins (02nd capital of Sikkim)- 30 minutes easy walk from the main road through the forest/ CC footpath. Drive back to Pelling (20 minutes) Overnight stay at Hotel/Homestay.

Day 05: OR OPTIONAL YUKSUM – 1ST CAPITAL OF SIKKIM DAY TOUR
Breakfast at Hotel. Drive to Khechupalri Lake (28 kms/1 ½ hrs)- Sacred and wishfull filling lake amidst a deep and rich forest. Enroute see Rimbi waterfalls.  Drive to Yuksum (27 kms/1 hr), enroute visit Khangchendzonga waterfalls. Yuksumis the 01st capital of Sikkim. Visit Norbughang Coronation throne (the 01st king of Sikkim was coronated in this place in the year 1641-42 A.D.) Lunch at Yuksum. Drive back to Pelling (34 kms/2 hrs) Stay Overnight at Hotel/Homestay.

Day 06: PELLING TO GANGTOK VIA RAVONGLA  (5500 FTS/125 KMS/6 HRS)
Breakfast at Hotel & check out. Drive to Ravangla (55 kms/2 hrs) Visit TathagataTshal (Buddha Park), Lunch at Ravangla. Drive to Gangtok (70 kms/3 hrs),upon arrival check in to the hotel. Free & Leisure time. Overnight stay at Hotel/Homestay.

LingdumZurmangKagyud monastery(10 kms from Rumtek/30 minutes) Kagyu order of Tibetan Buddhism. Back to Hotel. Lunch/Recess. After lunch, visit Enchey Monastery (20 minutes from town)-Nyingma Order of Tibetan Buddhism. Visit Dro-DrulChorten/Namgyal Institute of Tibetology (museum with collections or antique and rare Buddhism related items). Vehicle will drop you at the Market / Hotel.
